Mobile Banking Login Update

We’re streamlining your experience, but you may be impacted

To simplify your account access, in the coming months NBT Bank will be making a system update that will have you use the same username and password to login to both NBT Online Banker and NBT Bank Mobile Banking.

Please check:

  • If your online and mobile banking usernames and passwords currently match, there is no need for you to take action
  • If either your online and mobile banking username or password do not match, please follow steps below to update your login username and password

How to Update your Username & Password

The objective is to make your username and password match for both Mobile and Online Banking. Log in now and update your username and password. If you need assistance with how to complete this change, please visit the popular questions below.

Note: You must log in to Online Banking to change your username and password. If you no longer remember your Online Banking Password please visit our Forgot Your Password page.

1  Login to NBT Online Banker

2  Update Your Mobile Banking Username:

  • Navigate to the Mobile Banking tab and select “Change Login Details”
  • Update your username to reflect your NBT Online Banker username or a new username
  • Select “Save”

3  Update Your Mobile Banking Password:

  • Navigate to the Mobile Banking tab and select “Change Password”
  • Update your password to reflect your NBT Online Banker Password or a new password
  • Select “Save”

2  Update Your NBT Online Banker Username:

  • Navigate to the Preferences tab and select “Change Login ID”
  • Update your username and confirm your new selection
  • Select “Save”

3  Update Your NBT Online Banker Password:

  • Navigate to the Preferences tab and select “Change Password”
  • Enter your current password
  • Enter your new password and confirm your selection
  • Select “Save”

The possibility exists that your current Mobile Banking Login ID is the same ID another customer already uses for NBT Online Banker. You will need to select a new Login ID if this occurs. We apologize for the inconvenience.

To recover a forgotten NBT Online Banker username, please contact NBT Bank Customer Service at 1-800-NBT-BANK.

If you do not update your Mobile Banking Login ID and Password in advance of the change, you will not be able to login to Mobile Banking until you update your credentials within NBT Online Banker.

Your login ID must:

  • Be a minimum of eight (8) characters
  • Username should not have a zero (0) as the first character
  • Username should not contain special characters (e.g. @,#,&)

Your password:

  • Must be a minimum of eight (8) characters and cannot exceed 16 characters
  • If you are changing your password from that currently used for NBT Online Banker, it cannot be one of your past three passwords used

Your Mobile Banking Password is the same password that you use to login to NBT Online Banker.

To change your NBT Online Banker Login ID:

  • Login to NBT Online Banker
  • Click on "Preferences" in the main tool bar
  • Select "Change Login ID" in the sub-menu
  • Enter your new username
  • Confirm your new username
  • Select "Save"

Your Mobile Banking Login ID (username) is the same username that you use to login to NBT Online Banker. To recover your Login ID for NBT Online Banker please contact Customer Service at 1-800-NBT-BANK (1-800-628-2265) or customerservice@nbtbank.com.

To change your NBT Online Banker Login ID:

  • Login to NBT Online Banker
  • Click on "Preferences" in the main tool bar
  • Select "Change Login ID" in the sub-menu
  • Enter your new username
  • Confirm your new username
  • Select "Save"
