NBT Bank Promotes Harris, Huba and Smith to Vice President

NORWICH, NY (December 13, 2016) – NBT Bank President John H. Watt, Jr. announced that David Harris, William Huba and Danielle Smith have been promoted to vice president.

Commercial Banking Relationship Manager David Harris joined NBT Bank in 1999. He is responsible for developing and managing business relationships with the bank’s commercial customers throughout Chenango and Delaware Counties. Harris earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the State University of New York at Oneonta and associate’s degree in Business Administration from the State University at Cobleskill.

Deputy Bank Secrecy Act and Sanctions Officer William Huba joined NBT Bank in early 2016. He oversees NBT Bank’s senior anti-money laundering investigation team and staff managing the legal, disclosure and discovery processes to minimize the company’s exposure to regulatory, operational and reputational risk. Huba has a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego and is currently pursuing an MBA from Grantham University in Kansas. He is a graduate of the FBI Academy, the New York State Police Academy and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Call Center Manager Danielle Smith has been with the company since 1999. Smith leads NBT Bank’s Call Center team developing metrics and procedures to improve efficiency and service levels to ensure the delivery of superior customer service. She earned her associate’s degree in Business Administration from SUNY Morrisville and has earned certification in Effective Contact Center Management from the International Customer Management Institute.
