The customer had recently selected NBT Insurance Agency to be their broker. During a thorough review of their existing coverage from their previous provider, we discovered an error that caused the business to be underinsured. We knew we needed to advise the customer to make a change to his insurance coverage.
The change would result in a premium increase, which initially made that customer unhappy. But we took the time to demonstrate just how insufficient the current coverage was. If the situation was not addressed, the customer could encounter potential liability issues. After the discussion, the customer expressed his gratitude for our help in identifying and explaining the issue. He is even exploring insurance options with NBT Insurance Agency for his other business interests.
