Automated Phone Message Attack Alert

It has been reported that there are automated phone message attempts targeting bank customers. These voice phishing attacks are often referred to as “vishing.”  The call will be a pre-recorded phone messages are being delivered to random consumers with the warning that their debit cards have been closed or “blocked” or “deactivated”. When the consumers call the telephone number provided by the fraudsters they hear a recording that requests a 16-digit card number and PIN. The calls may also prompt you to enter “1” to be transferred to a customer service representative to provide additional information.

Please hang up and do not give out any of your personal information.

Please Use extreme caution when responding to unusual contact via text or telephone. Never give out personal or account information to an unauthorized communication such as text or automated phone messages.
