NBT BANK MOVES INTO NEW REGIONAL OFFICE IN GLENS FALLS
NORWICH, N.Y. (JULY 28, 2008) – NBT Bank opened its new regional office in Glens Falls today. The bank’s Glens Falls Office is in a renovated, three-story historic brick building at 86 Glen Street. This office is directly across from the Glens Falls Civic Center and a block south of the bank’s temporary regional office.
“NBT Bank’s permanent regional office is further evidence of our commitment to the Glens Falls area,” said Dan Burke, the bank’s regional president for the Glens Falls Region. “We are also happy to be part of the revitalization of downtown Glens Falls.”
An NBT Bank branch will occupy much of the building’s first floor and provide full banking services, including: four teller windows, large customer service area, workspace for business customers (including fax machine, copier and Internet connection), night depository, safe-deposit boxes and coin-counting machine. The branch will also feature a kids corner to help youngsters learn about money matters.
NBT Bank will have additional offices on the first and second floors of the building. These offices will be used for executive, commercial banking, government banking, cash management, mortgage, trust and financial services staff. The bank will share the second floor with Behan Communications, Inc., a firm specializing in public relations, public affairs and marketing. Behan Communications will also occupy all of the third floor. The 15,000-square-foot building was built in the early 1900s and served as a warehouse for many years. Originally, the building was a showroom for early, steam-powered automobiles.
NBT Bank provides personal banking, asset management and business services. The independent community bank, headquartered in Norwich, N.Y., has 84 offices in 20 upstate New York counties. NBT Bank’s parent company, NBT Bancorp Inc., had assets of $5.2 billion as of March 31, 2008.
