NBT BANK HIRES HOCKLER AS BRANCH MANAGER OF LATHAM OFFICE

(MAY 5, 2008) – Jeff Levy, regional president of NBT Bank’s Capital Region, recently announced that James Hockler has been hired as vice president and branch manager of the bank’s Latham Office. In this position, Hockler has responsibility for branch sales, customer service and operations.

Hockler has 36 years of banking experience. Before joining NBT Bank, he was an assistant vice president and branch manager/relationship manager for nine years for KeyBank in the Capital Region.

“NBT Bank is pleased to have Jim Hockler at the helm of our Latham Office,” said Levy. “His extensive background will help us to best meet the needs of our customers at this branch.”

Hockler, a resident of Troy, has completed numerous banking industry courses. He is involved in several community and professional organizations in the Capital Region, including serving on the board for Joseph’s House and Shelter, a Troy-based nonprofit that works to prevent and alleviate homelessness.
