NBT BANK HIRES WAHL AS COMMERCIAL BANKER FOR VERMONT


Mark WahlNORWICH, N.Y. (DECEMBER 2, 2009) – NBT Bank Regional President Matt Durkee announced that Mark Wahl has been hired as vice president and senior commercial banking relationship manager. In this position, Wahl is responsible for developing and managing business relationships with the bank’s commercial customers in Vermont. He is based at the bank’s regional office at 150 Bank Street in Burlington.

“Mark Wahl is a strong addition to our commercial banking team,” Durkee said. “His many years of lending experience in Vermont will help our customers take their businesses to a higher level.”

Wahl has more than 28 years of banking experience. Before joining NBT Bank, he worked for People’s United Bank, based in Bridgeport, Conn., and its predecessor, Chittenden Bank, based in Burlington. Over the years, he held positions in commercial banking, business banking and corporate lending.

A resident of Essex Junction, Wahl has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Plymouth State University. He also completed industry training through the New England School of Banking.
