NBT BANK HOLDS GRAND OPENING FOR SOUTH GLENS FALLS OFFICE
NORWICH, N.Y. (MAY 20, 2008) – NBT Bank held a grand opening yesterday for its South Glens Falls Office. The office, located at 110 Main Street in the Midtown Shopping Center, is the bank’s second branch in the Glens Falls area.
More than 30 people attended the grand opening. Assisting with the ribbon cutting were South Glens Falls Mayor Robert Phinney and Town of Moreau Supervisor Preston Jenkins. Other village and town officials were also in attendance.
As part of the grand opening, NBT Bank made a donation to the Moreau Community Center. South Glens Falls Branch Manager Laura Sipowicz presented a video-game console and 32-inch high-definition television to Tim Carota (president of the center’s board of directors) and Gloria Osier (the center’s financial officer).
“We are happy to be in South Glens Falls,” said Dan Burke, regional president of the bank’s Glens Falls Region. “Since opening our doors on May 8, we’ve had a good response from the community.”
NBT Bank provides personal banking, asset management and business services. The independent community bank, headquartered in Norwich, N.Y., has 85 offices in 20 upstate New York counties. NBT Bank’s parent company, NBT Bancorp Inc., had assets of $5.2 billion as of March 31, 2008.
