NORWICH, N.Y. (October 27, 2011) - NBT Bank recently donated $1,000 to the Parents as Leaders (PAL) Family Resource Center in Norwich.
In this photo, NBT Bank Chenango County Regional Manager Tom Sutton presents Executive Director of Mother and Babies Perinatal Network Sharon Chesna with the donation. Sutton said, “We are proud to support this valuable community program that strives to improve the quality of life in our local community by strengthening families and providing needed services to children and their parents.”
The PAL Center, located at 27 West Main Street in Norwich, is operated by the Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network and is a drop in center for parents with infants and toddlers that seeks to reduce child abuse and neglect and empower families. Chesna said, “Families come to the PAL Center primarily for children’s activities and socialization. We provide opportunities for parent education and optimal child health and development through recreational and cognitive development programs, socialization with other families and connection to community services.”
