NORWICH, N.Y. (November 13, 2012)—NBT Bank’s Wall of Art is featuring the artwork of Jackie Gimson Craine at the bank’s Norwich Office on South Broad Street. Her work will be on display through the end of December.Craine, a Norwich resident, uses a variety of media for her work. Pieces currently on display include photographs and works completed using acrylics and colored pencils. A life-long artist, Craine said, “The pieces I selected for this showing were influenced by things I’ve seen on trips like the redwoods in Sedona, western wall of Hurricane Irene over the Pennsylvania and West Virginia border and a big sky sunset in Wyoming.” She admitted she never lacks for inspiration, only the time to do everything she’d like to do. For its Wall of Art, NBT Bank is partnering with the Chenango Arts Council to highlight the creativity of area residents. Council Executive Director Victoria Kappel said “Through her use of vivid colors and textures in her acrylic pieces, Jackie is able to capture the feeling and mood of her subject. Her skilled use of colored pencils and photography allows her to capture the subtle hues and tranquil ambiance found in nature.” NBT Bank offers personal banking, asset management and business services through a network of 136 banking locations in five states.
