NORWICH, N.Y. (June 3, 2011) - NBT Bank Regional Executive Michael Bowker recently announced that Michael Pepe has been promoted to Senior Commercial Relationship Manager. He has returned to the Fulton and Montgomery County area after serving the bank's customers in the greater Capital Region.
Now based in NBT Bank's Gloversville Financial Center, Pepe is responsible for managing corporate relationships in Fulton and Montgomery Counties, as well as overseeing the administration and approval of commercial loans in the region. Pepe will also assist Regional Executive Michael Bowker in continuing to expand existing relationships and developing strategies for acquiring new clients.
Bowker said, "We congratulate Mike on his promotion and welcome him back to his banking roots. He has a history of building strong, successful banking relationships with commercial customers in the area, and they will benefit from his knowledge and experience in the local market."
Pepe has nearly 35 years of banking experience. He joined NBT Bank in 2005 as vice president and relationship manager developing business relationships in communities across the greater Capital Region. Prior to joining NBT Bank, Pepe worked in Gloversville for City National Bank & Trust Company and its predecessor, Gloversville Federal Savings and Loan Association, as a senior executive in the commercial banking area.
Pepe, a resident of Amsterdam, has a bachelor's degree in business management from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. He is involved in a number of community activities, including serving as trustee of the Fulton-Montgomery Community College and serving as hospital trustee of St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.
