NORWICH, N.Y. (JUNE 30, 2011) - NBT Bank Mohawk Valley Regional Executive Dennis Surace announced plans to open the bank's new Utica Financial Center at 270 Genesee Street in late September 2011.
Surace made the announcement at a reception held June 29 at the site of the new location. "We are excited about the tremendous opportunity our new Utica Financial Center will provide for us to grow our bank and to be an active part of the Downtown Utica community," Surace said.
The Utica Financial Center will feature full branch-banking capabilities, including drive-up teller service, a 24-hour ATM and night depository. At the event, Surace commented, "We've named our new location the Utica Financial Center because-in addition to branch banking-we'll also house other key business lines here." These business lines include NBT Bank's commercial banking team led by John Buffa, retail banking management under Rich Callahan, and the trust and financial services team led by Rita DeMarko of the NBT Financial Group.
NBT Bank provides personal banking, asset management and business services. The independent community bank, based in Norwich, N.Y., has eight offices in Oneida and Herkimer Counties and a total of 87 offices in upstate New York and Vermont. NBT Bank's parent company, NBT Bancorp Inc., had assets of $5.5 billion as of March 31, 2011.
