Mohegan Sun Box Office renamed NBT Bank Box Office

Change Coming to Mohegan Sun Arena: Pennstar Bank and the Luzerne County Convention Center Authority Announce Renaming of Box Office to
NBT Bank Box Office at Mohegan Sun Arena as Bank Prepares for March Brand Transition


WILKES-BARRE (February 14, 2014) – Pennstar Bank and The Luzerne County Convention Center today announced the transition of the naming-rights of the venue box office at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza to NBT Bank. The official name of the box office will be the “NBT Bank Box Office at Mohegan Sun Arena.”

The transition of the box office naming rights is one aspect of Pennstar Bank’s larger brand transition to NBT Bank, the name of its parent bank, scheduled to be completed on March 10, 2014. Pennstar Bank engaged in a five-year agreement with the LCCCA for the box-office naming-rights which took effect on July 1, 2010.

“Our relationship with the Mohegan Sun Arena has helped us further connect with our customers and community members and demonstrate our collective interest in supporting the events and activities that bring us together and make lasting memories,” said David Raven, Pennstar Bank president and chief executive officer. “NBT Bank looks forward to continuing its partnership with the LCCCA to support the area’s growth.”

The Mohegan Sun Arena has become the premiere sports and entertainment facility in Northeastern Pennsylvania hosting numerous sold out events throughout its history, including tomorrow’s Luke Bryan concert, and previously Neil Diamond, The Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel, Cher, Bon Jovi, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, AC/DC and Elton John.
